BIO

Terry Millar, SCALE PI and Project Director, has been on the mathematics faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since 1976 and his research area is computable model theory, a subfield of mathematical logic. Dr. Millar is the Associate Dean for the physical sciences of the Graduate School, and the PI of the K-thorough-Infinity project, an NSF GK-12 award. From 1996 through 1998 he served as Interim Co-Director of the NSF-funded National Institute for Science Education (NISE), and was team leader of the NISE's graduate science, mathematics, engineering, and technology education team. The team planned and organized the NSF/NISE Graduate Education Forum that was held in Washington, DC, in June 1998. Dr. Millar has taught in Australia and Indonesia, and is a Vietnam veteran who served in the Marine Corps (1967-69).
